
Julien Mier is a Dutch-French multi-instrumentalist, sound designer and composer born and raised in the Netherlands, but based on unceded land of the Gadigal people in Eora (also known as Sydney, Australia.) Utilising found sounds and fragments of samples from anything like broken toys, thrown out objects on the streets and other interesting sound sources.
Julien has finished a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Composition & Music Production at the HKU, the Music and Technology department in Hilversum, the Netherlands.) Since then he has performed his music at Pitch Festival (NL) Eurosonic Festival, Mira Festival (Spain) Phoenix Central Park (Australia) Royal Concertgebouw Amsterdam (Netherlands) Gogbot Festival (Netherlands) and Life Force Festival (Japan) among many other venues.
His work has been used in many TV and media productions such as Your Friends & Neighbours (Apple TV) VICE, Adult Swim and Oculus Quest (Meta) and other educational exhibition spaces by YiPP as well as released music on recordlabels such as Chillhop, Friends of Friends, Cafe del Mar and Ghostly as santpoort.
